How many teams are in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026?
The tournament will see eight teams in action. Four of those teams are full members, while the other four are associate members.
India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan gained direct qualification, while Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and the UAE made it through the 2026 ACC Women’s Premier Cup.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, walk in as the defending champions of the tournament.

What’s the format of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026?
The tournament will first see a group stage. Here, teams will face their group opponents once each, playing three matches.
Once the group stage concludes, the top two teams from both groups will qualify for the semi-finals.
The table-toppers of Group A will take on the No. 2 side of Group B in the first semi-final, while the top side from Group B will face the second-placed Group A team in the other semi-final.
The winner of the semi-finals will then square off in the final to become Asian champions.
How many matches will take place in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026?
A total of 15 matches are part of the tournament. 12 of those matches form the group stage, while the other three are knockout games.
Which venue will host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026?
The entire tournament will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS) in Dubai.
