The biggest women’s T20 league is set to return with a new season. Australia will host the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025 across November and December 2025. Teams and players are in all readiness to light up the Australian summer.
So, when and where does the WBBL 2025 start?
The 11th season of the WBBL will get underway on November 9, 2025. Brisbane will host an intense contest between hosts Brisbane Heat and last season’s champions Melbourne Renegades, starting at 12:40 PM local time (8:10 AM IST).
The first day will see two more matches, making it a triple delight for fans. Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder will square off in the second match. And the evening encounter will pit Perth Scorchers against Sydney Sixers.
How many teams are participating?
A total of eight teams will be in action in the WBBL|11. Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars are the other two teams.

Alright, what’s the format like in the WBBL 2025?
So each WBBL team plays 10 matches in the league stage. They will face three opponents twice, while taking on the other four teams once.
After the league stage, the four teams on the points table advance into the finals series, which is different from the BBL one.
The table toppers will move straight into the final, while the No. 2 team will enter the challenger. The next two teams will battle it out in the knockout for a spot in the challenger, which will decide the other finalist.
