Global Super League 2026: Schedule, Venues, Squads & Broadcast Details

Amid a frenzy of T20 leagues, the Global Super League (GSL) returns for its third edition in July 2026. As usual, Guyana will host the invitational-only league.

So here’s all you need to know about the Global Super League 2026 season.

When does the Global Super League 2026 begin?

The third edition of the Global Super League will start on July 23, 2026. Lahore Qalandars will face Perth Scorchers XI in the season opener at 10:00 AM local time (7:30 PM IST).

Which teams are participating in GSL 2026?

As usual, five teams will compete in this season as well. Three of those teams are new, while Lahore Qalandars return for their second appearance. And Guyana Amazon Warriors continue as the hosts.

The three new teams are Desert Vipers, Perth Scorchers and San Francisco Unicorns.

The Qalandars are three-time PSL champions, while the Vipers walk in as the 2025-26 ILT20 winners. Perth, too, join in as the recent BBL winners. San Francisco, meanwhile, play in the USA’s MLC.

Speaking of the hosts, they walk in as the defending champions of the GSL. Guyana have also won the CPL once in 2023.

What’s the format of the GSL 2026?

The format is pretty simple, actually. Teams will play against each other once in the league stage. So four matches for each team.

Following the league stage, the No. 1 team will head straight into the final. And the next two best teams will compete for the other final spot in the qualifier.

How many matches will take place in the GSL 2026?

The GSL 2026 season features 12 matches, one more than the last edition. 10 of those games are part of the league stage, with the other two being the qualifier and the final.

Which venue will host the matches?

The Providence Stadium in Guyana will host the entire league.

What’s the complete schedule for the Global Super League 2026?

The league stage runs from July 23 to 30. The qualifier will then follow on August 1, with the final scheduled for August 2.
